Title: Hydrogen production from H₂S decomposition in micro-structured proton-conducting solid oxide membrane reactors

Acronym: H₂S-PROTON

In the Black Sea enrichment of H₂S from natural sources takes place with potential negative impact on humans and environment. This H₂S can be converted to the fuel hydrogen via electrochemical processes. Aim of the project H₂S-PROTON is the development of a micro structured electrochemical reactor for the production of hydrogen from H₂S-enriched water of the Black Sea. In the course of the work corrosion and coatings are investiagted and suitable material candidates are characterized using physicochemical and electrochemical methods.
