Phase Transition

Phase transition processes like evaporation and condensation are investigated for fundamental effects in microstructures. Here, homogeneous systems (water, R134A) as well as inhomogeneous systems like mixtures are used as model fluids. Different methods to perform this research are available, i.e. visualization of phase transition processes using high speed videography or laser-photometry for steam quality determination, obtained with a self-developed laser photometer.
