Micro-reactor, Used for Carrying Out Chemical Reactions Under Periodically Changing Temperatures
Dr. Schubert, Dr. Brandner
Micro-reactor comprises parallel layers stacked over each other. The sequence of three different layers is repeated several times. The first or third layer comprises a plate with an electrical connection, and can be heated by resistance heating. The middle layer comprises a foil with parallel grooves covered by the heated plate or a neighboring foil, in which the chemical reactions take place. The third and first layers form a plate-like cooling element. A device is also included for alternately heating and cooling the plate and the cooling element.
